Webcast: Web Accessibility for Community Colleges: Part 1 and Part 2

Photograph of young woman using a computer. This two part webcast is designed specifically for webmasters in community college settings and those who teach web design to students. However, the information applies to anyone who is interested in web accessibility. The first webcast in this series examines how people with disabilities use the internet. The second part provides specific information on common web accessibility problems and how to correct or avoid them.

The original webcasts were presented by WebAIM, a nonprofit organization that has provided comprehensive web accessibility solutions since 1999. These years of experience have made WebAIM one of the leading providers of web accessibility expertise internationally. WebAIM's mission is to expand the potential of the web for people with disabilities by providing the knowledge, technical skills, tools and organizational leadership strategies that empower organizations to make their own content accessible to people with disabilities. The webcasts were sponsored by the DBTAC-Great Plains ADA Center, a project of the National Institute on Disability & Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR).

Technical support for webcast/webcast archives is provided by The University of Kansas Continuing Education. The original webcasts were presented in January and April of 2005.
